Robert Glynn has spent more than 40 years as a London-based City insurance broker providing risk management and insurance advice for large industrial projects throughout the world.

He has experience acting solely as the owner’s project insurance consultant and also as both the insurance consultant and broker, responsible for the placement of the required project insurance.

During this time, he has specialised in the construction and operational phases for mid/downstream energy, mining, industrial processing, power, and renewable industries. 

He regularly interacts with project management, engineering, legal, project finance, technical consultant and contractor teams, and the insurance community.

 A recent lecture he gave in Old Library in Lloyd’s of London was entitled “The Human Factor - Man-Made Energy Losses and their Causation”. 

He has also written many different technical articles and collaborated with others to write textbooks/IMIA articles for the benefit of the insurance community. 

He has also regularly provided training sessions for work colleagues and other firms on a wide variety of topics.   

He has acted as an Expert Witness for, and since qualifying in 1993 has mediated, various insurance-related disputes.

He has made presentations on many occasions to audiences in the insurance, engineering/project, finance, and legal communities.

    • BTEC Level 7 Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence
