Provides risk management and insurance support to the construction and operational phases of projects in the mid and downstream energy, mining, processing, power and renewables sectors.
Acts as the project’s risk manager and insurance adviser.
Involves working with the owner to minimise project risk, understanding the intended contracting philosophies, obtaining the correct balance of insurance and indemnity provisions in these contracts and collecting and collating the relevant engineering data into a clear and easy to understand package for the insurance underwriters.
Regularly interacts with project management, lenders and the various legal, financial, engineering, insurance and contracting teams.
Arranges insurance broker tenders for the project insurances both for the construction and operational phases.
Oversees the placement of the required insurances via the chosen broker making sure they are in compliance with what the parties require.

Acts as an expert witness for insurance related disputes.
Provides detailed reports and opinions for the parties in order to help clarify their positions prior to, or during, any litigation or arbitration.
Provides formal advice prior to the formal engagement of any dispute.

Lectures to the general insurance community, project teams, lawyers and other professions involved in the insurance space.
Provides detailed tutorials/seminars to project teams, lawyers, financiers and the insurance community on multiple topics including risk management, insurance mitigation, insurance policy coverages and mediation.
